Claire begins each collection working with a variety of themes to find a timeless combination of fabric, colour and cut, seeking to create a future classic and to craft the ideal shape and silhouette that is the Elizabeth & Claire distinctive aesthetic.

Claire adheres to the principal of designing what she believes in. As she strives to visualize the collection, she works closely with her manufacturers and pattern cutters.

The design process is set in train, and is developed using a body of information in the form of sketches, collages and illustrations which inform the design concepts. Claire applies her skills and knowledge to create a look of exclusivity and elegance. As toiling begins, the designs come to life and a collection starts to unfold.
